I make predictions about the 2013 presidential election between President Barack Obama(D) and the likely republican candidate Mitt Romney.
2013 election predictions for Pres.?
If he keeps on his current path, and rams nationalized health care and cap-in-trade down the throats of Americans, What kind of shape do you think the American economy will be in come election day in 2013?
Do you think that Obama will be reelected?

Who knows? I’m not a tarot card reader or clairvoyant. I can’t see into the future.

People should be more concerned with the 2010 Mid-term elections. Hopefully, all of the incumbents are voted out of office.

the US has faced more destruction from the obama admin than at any other time not during war, if there is a country left( I am being somewhat serious) barry won’t stand a chance, remember 1980 carter/Regan Ronald straight stomped carter the same, hopefully, will happen in 2013
2013 Election predictions?
Here are mine:
Obama is reelected by a slimmer margin than in 2008. The Democrats pick up a few seats in both houses, weakening the GOP’s House majority and solidifying their hold on the Senate.
What do YOU think will happen? Sound off.

I feel like Obama is at a stand still. He hasn’t really been a bad president, but he hasn’t done much good either.
That being said, I believe Donald Trump will triumph (no pun intended), with Obama close behind.

Palin will rule.

You’re optimistic from a Democratic point of view, but I already know one part of your prediction that won’t come true – there is no chance the Democrats can pick up any seats in the Senate. With Webb, Conrad and Bingaman retiring Virginia, North Dakota and New Mexico will most likely go republican. Montana, Nebraska, West Virginia, Florida, Missouri, Ohio and Connecticut will all be tough for Democrats to hold. The only endangered Republican is Brown in Massachusetts.
Obama may be reelected and if he is it will be like you said with a slimmer majority. Even if Democrats pick up some House seats, it will not be nearly enough to retake the majority.

Ron Paul 2012!
@farciersmd — “In September 2010, Mitt Romney invited all of the Republican candidates for the New Hampshire Senate to lunch in a conference room in Concord. He thanked them for running for office, then gave each of them a $1,000 check made out to their campaigns. ” Google article by Alec MacGillis, 11/3/11
@182pinkerton Good points. I predicted Obama will lose Nevada because Reed had such a hard time getting re-elected and in a state with such high unemployment the incumbent usually loses. And Nevada had demonstrated itself to be a swing state. The point about New Hampshire is probably more likely. Although i do think Obama is a much better campaigner than Gore was. But yes New Hampshire could possibly swing.
Obama won Nevada by 12% last time, thats more than he won Pensylvania by (10%) so i could toataly see him winning it again (even though it has a relativly high mormon population that could help romney i think the black people and latinos in the area will balance that out for Obama) however New Hampshire could go for Romney since gore lost it and Obama only won it by about 9% last time (Also Romney was a governor of a neighboring state which gives him some local apeal)
