You are correct. I believe this Country is in dire straights, and in dire harm. We the people really need to wake up, as IF our politicians and leaders push through their agendas, we will cease to exist as a nation.

Whats all the hooplah about?

Answer by Thades
well Everybody think he world is going to end on this date 12/21/12. Which isn’t true. if it was going to end then we would had died a long time ago,

Answer by Abby
It was seen on a myan calander that this was the end of earth because this is what the myan’s believe, this is what some people believe now, don’t think of the end of the world so soon you have three years to live.

I don’t believe it.

Answer by nymphadora7
the mayan calendar. they made a calendar a long time ago, and everything they predicted on it came true so far. no one knows how- but they predicted everything from their time up until ours. the hooplah is that the calendar just stops at 2013. no explanation, nothing. which leads us to believe the world will end and that’s why the calendar stops. if theres no earth, theres no more calendar.

Let me know when a Muslim is running for president, will you please? Obama is NOT muslim, and please post a link to the passage in the Bible that you mention. Last I heard the Bible doesn’t mention the US. I think you had better go back to school to concentrate on reading and comprehension.

Nostradamus made a vague prediction about there being a black Pope in the End Times, but there have been many black Popes before and Nostradamus is not a very reliable source.

I feel sorry for my country. I used to be real proud to be an american. But after reading posts like this, I no longer have much hope for us. Its almost as if we are deevolving as human beings. You would think that today in the year 2007, we should be smarter, more intelligent, less fanatical, and more humane and just. But what I see and hear….its like we are regressing to a primordial stage of development…fear..fear and more fear.. Many of you out there truly should be ashamed of yourselves. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Ain’t we buds with the Pakis? Isn’t the Bush Junta defend the rights and lives of those muslim folks in Afghanistan? Yet, you seem to indicate that ‘muslims’ are bad people. If they’re so bad…..why are we spending all these borrowed dollars, lives and limbs to defend them? Sometimes I wonder aout you, bro. I guess that you’re saying that Barack Obama is a dirty, low down, back shootin’ muslim varmit that out ‘ta be tarred, feathered and rode outa’ town on a rail! Even though he ain’t a muslim…but who cares…he has a middle eastern name. Why don’t you just say that instead of trottin’ out the Bible? Don’t be cute..just say what you mean!

“Are there any 2012 predictions pertaining to a Muslim President of the US?”

None that I know of. Why would there be? We don’t have very many Muslims serving in public office on any level now (I believe there is one in the U.S. House of Representatives) and none with any real visibility on the national stage, so if any Muslims want to run against President Obama four years from now, they’d better get started on their campaigns now.

“It is stated somewhere in the Bible that if this occurs, it will be the end of the US…”

No, it’s NOT. The Bible was written before the prophet Muhammad was even born, and so predates the Muslim religion. And it WAY predates the U.S.

It is NOT stated anywhere in the Bible about the United States or a Muslim President.Wishing it to be true doesn’t make it so.Also, there are no Muslim candidates running(for President) in this election and I have neither heard nor seen of any in the near future. It is unfortunate for our country that so many will believe such easily disproven stories rather than research the truth for themselves.
Also, the Bible was not written by any one author. The first book that we would recognize as the Bible was “assembled”by the emperor Constantine. He had the Bible “written”so as to be able to give them to newly formed churches.Unfortunately, none of them survive intact today.
The Muslim Quran contains many of the same stories as the Old Testament of the Christian Bible and it also contains nothing pertaining to a Muslim President or the United States.

Yes. I spent a whole day researching it on the internet. It is 100% made up.

Their basic strategy is to take a scientific concept that everyone has heard of but doesn’t really understand in detail then make something up about it to support their theories. The thing I don’t understand is why they do it though, it’s very strange.

eh . . . it wont be debunked until the date occurs and nothing happens. Otherwise, I think it’s actually something to ponder about. In my view it seems to coincide with Revelation 6, with the descriptions of the sun and the moon, and the state of the world at the time.

Not the end of the world. I am confident about that. Though, it might feel like the end of the world.

I don’t think the world’s going to end on 12/21/2012 because it’s just where the Mayan calendar stopped. Just because a calendar stopped, doesn’t mean time doesn’t go on. I mean, there wasn’t a calendar during the age of the dinosaurs, but the world was still intact at that time. Perhaps something big will happen on that date, though.

What’s decembers 2012 last name, and can he be trusted?
From where does he get his prophetic mantle, that we should even listen?
What if he is a false prophet and your etching ears have given place to faslehood and now your mouth is become his micro phone?
Is his pridictions based on his prophecies, because there is redundancy and contrary usage of the two words here, with using the word prohecies on the heels of predictions.
To the church (Christendon) the word predictions is not used, it describes supefluity of mind, but prophesy describes the unfolding of events that will unfold by divine appointment, and or things that must come to pass, as to show time winding down, like in land marks as signs to show the unfolding of God’s dealing; and not as someone reading a crystal ball, soothsaying for a buck. In otherwards God doesn’t predict, and neither does His prophets.
The prophets of God speak of the thing to be done by His hand, His workmanship, and the things that are happening at the time of His work that are already going on. The things that are already going on at the time He begins His work are only sign post marking and are not predictions. God knows all things and doesn’t speak from a hunch
therefore predictions are are below God, and are counterfeits used by spirits as to deceive to the gaining attention and admiration to erect stronghold in the minds of them who listen, much like magic, lying vanities held in high regard, stroking the senses of men, to promote and frame consesus to get a foot into, to invade, to employ fear and casue confusion, to put doubt to what is truth, to steel your mind away from good. and that is not my own thought or theory. and i believe i have the Spirit of God, therefore i speak. sincerely edwah z j

The lamest fad fraud in existence. It is a Sensationalistic Paranoia Scheme. (SPS for short).

Winter solstice- December 21, 2012 – is just the shortest duration of insolation for the northern hemisphere, just like it is every year, at the “begin point” of what normal non-cult leaders call “WINTER” (just calculate the time between the solstice and the equinox, or look it up on your calender… NOT your Mayan one).

Each and every doomsday claim you hear for 2012 is only real in the imaginations of people who want you to buy their book, see their movie, watch their program, visit their website, buy their survival kit, or make them wealthy or popular in some fashion or another.

It’s a scheme, pure and simple.

It has been debunked again and again by scientists. It is all the invention and delusions of frauds and crackpots. There were no ancient prohecies or predictions of doomsday in 2012 before the hoaxers started claiming them in 2003. None of their claims are true or even possible. The Mayan calendar doesn’t end, it recycles. Funny thing, so does their doomsday. When it failed to happen in 2003, they just recycled it to 2012 to coincide with a mistaken interpretation of the Mayan calendar that was done by a man whose degree was in art. I found a really good website that tells all about the big 2012 hoax. Unlike the crackpot doomsday sites, this one gives credible sources.

2012. Fun date. It is supposedly means that the world will end on Dec, 21, 2012. For the Mayan calender ends on that date, and the day Nostradamus predicted a catastrophic event will happen.

But the thing is with the Mayan calender ended is there are more then one calender they have created, and there are approximately 5 temples or more full of Mayan information. But governments of where they are will not let us touch them. They are HUGE temples and are full of stuff. So there are most likely more calenders in there. But scientist not believe that around that time there could be a climate shift. Since the glaciers that are melting, new ones are forming directly across them. So who knows. Maybe some big event will happen maybe not. Also we are “over do” for a huge meteor that killed the dinosaurs, so again who knows.

As for Nostradamus, he mainly just said a catastrophic event will happen, not the world will end just something devastating. People just change what he said to make it something that most likely isn’t even true. For he also predicted that a great nation will come to an end with a leader from the slave race who doesn’t appear as he appears to be. Which would be Obama, and he is kind of working his way up to fulfill that prophecy. But who knows?

Even if the world does end, it won’t really matter because we will be dead. That is how I look at it.

Some people believe that December twenty-something of 2012 is doomsday. What I’d like to know is why anyone would chose to believe that the people who built the Meso-American Long Count Calendar succeeded in predicting our end when they failed to predict their own end, a far more important event! Now let’s just look at the recent record of the doomsayers:

March 10th, 1982: (Drum roll here please): The Jupiter Effect! What happened March 10th, 1982? Nothing happened on March 10th, 1982.

1987: 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will be in 88 (and ‘On Borrowed Time’). So what happened in 1988? Nothing happened in 1988.

1999: Nostradamus, in 1999 will come the Great King of Terror… What happened in 1999? Nothing happened in 1999.

    Y-2K: What happened 01-01-2000? Another non-event.

One of my very favorites and you should remember this one: Only last year (Sept. or Oct. of 2008), the LHC will open up a huge black hole that will swallow up the Universe! Now I can’t help but wonder why no one wants to talk about this ‘prediction’ anymore! Obviously nothing happened last year because we are all still here.

So what is the truth? The truth is that the world will end when God so decrees it and only He knows. Stop living in fear. Stop listening to the doomsayers. They have never, ever gotten it right and that’s the truth!
