Are there any free video-chatting websites that allow you to chat with more than one person at a time?
Me and my two best friends would like to video chat, and we use skype. But with skype you can only see one person and it’s not as fun as it could be icon sad Q&A: are there any really free chat rooms available for seniors on the internet?
So does anyone know of a different thing we could download so we can all talk?

You could resort to add ons for Skype.

ViVu Inc offers a plug in that apparently does what you asked, at 9.95 a month (see first link)

There are other networks that allow you to do video conferencing but don’t work with Skype (so that all of the friends have to sign up there) You might want to check Yuuguu, since it has a free service that works from a web browser (see second link) or iMundo, that uses the free Adobe Collaboration Software (third link). ooVoo has a service that allows your frinds to see you from a web page without having to sign up, but it will be obviously complicated to implement. They have a basic free service though (see fourth link)

MeBeam does something like what you are looking for, and it is apparently free. You add it to your friends list (and so do your friends) Whenever you want to have a video conference, all the participants consult MeBeam on Skype, and they will see a link to a web address where they can see the video conference. If it does what it says, it starts in Skype and it works in the web (see the article in the fifth link)

I have not tried any of these solutions myself, but they look as though some of them lught be worth a try if you’ve got some time.

Enjoy!

is there any free chat rooms where you can learn a new language?
im slovak and i want to chat with people who are slovak to learn how to talk in that language. and learn about slovakia and things like that.

Answer by Kiyomine
Well, there’s a website called mixxer (http://www.language-exchanges.org/) that offers language exchange with other people living all over the world, but it’s via Skype, so it’s not really a chat room. However, it is a useful way to meet others and talk with them.

I don’t know about that but you can send me a message, I live in Slovakia.

If you are looking for a chat for language learners, go to http://www.sharedtalk.com/ (I found 91 members that speak Slovak as a native language and want to practice English).

If you want to find a pen pal (it will be a better idea, you can talk on Skype), go to:

    1. http://www.polyglot-learn-language – this is the biggest community, there are thousands of users and about 500 Slovak speakers

    2. http://www.italki.com – another site that connects language learners. You can find a pen pal there or even a private tutor if you want to pay for it.

    3. http://www.livemocha.com – another big community of language learners.

You can also try at http://www.couchsurfing.org – this site connects travelers but there are many groups and I think that you will easily find a Slovak who will be willing to chat with you.
